I started my career at Accenture, working on commercial due diligence and strategy for mid-market and corporate clients. From there I moved in-house — first to SHV Energy, where I ran commercial strategy and pricing projects for a large B2B energy business, then to APM Terminals, where I led an 8-person PMO through a major operational transformation. More recently I’ve worked at PE-backed and scale-up level, including commercial excellence and pricing work through Impulssum, and a product-driven transformation at Vescom.
I’m originally from Eindhoven, now based in Haarlem with my two kids. Outside of work I’m happiest moving — sports, hiking, anything outdoors. Van der Schoot Advisory came out of an unexpected place: a concussion forced me to slow down and figure out what work I actually wanted to do. What came out of that was clarity — work I find genuinely interesting, at the level where I can add real value, without the overhead of large organisations. That’s still the brief.
